Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone. Today’s post is short and sweet, since I’m off to the doctor in a bit to get my blood pressure checked. Yes, I really am getting my heart checked out on Valentine’s Day, and in honor of this day of love and hearts, I wanted to remind you to do the same.
So, read coverage from EBN about the vital importance of maintaining a healthy blood pressure and download an EBN “Five Minutes With …” podcast with American Heart Association spokesman Dr. Richard Stein, promoting February as American Heart Month to increase awareness of heart disease throughout the nation. Stein explains the costs of heart disease on individuals and businesses and what employers can do to mitigate its costs and keep their workers healthy.
Then, enjoy all the day has to offer — especially the love and chocolate, since both are good for heart health.
Happy Valentine’s Day; here’s to your heart!
