Disability benefits proposal raises eyebrows

All working Americans age 18 and older reportedly would be automatically enrolled in a new disability insurance program that in many cases will use payroll deduction to pay for age-based monthly premiums that do not exceed $65, under a proposal awaiting introduction by Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.).
